Change Your Perspective

What you think about is what you see.
Imagine you are in the Sistine Chapel. There is beauty surrounding you. You look down and see a bubble gum wrapper. Most people wouldn’t think anything about it. You complain about it and that’s all you see and that’s what you remember when you think of the Chapel. You basically missed out on the whole experience of awe & wonder because you chose to focus on something else.
Now apply this story to your life. What are you focusing on now? Is it making you better, happy, fulfilled? If not, I challenge you to change your perspective. Look around you and see the beauty that you may be missing out on.

Be Creative

Mixing your passion (your fire) with your own individual strengths (your gasoline) will turn your life into a raging inferno. Not only reaching all those goals you set, but never giving up no matter how much water people try to throw on us.

Being creative doesn’t mean being a writer or artist. Creating isn’t only that. It can simply mean expressing who you are as a individual. Creating the person you want to be and the person you were meant to be.

Be Yourself

There is not a single soul on Earth who is exactly like you. Instead of running from that knowledge, embrace it. Our time here is short so don’t spend it trying to be someone else. Embrace who you are this week with kindness and love.

Forgive Yourself

Not forgiving yourself is like that annoying fly that won’t leave you alone at the summer BBQ. You swat at it and start to enjoy yourself and then it keeps coming back until you get the fly swatter and take care of it.
This week I want you to WRITE down all the things you beat yourself up about. Writing them down gives them less power over you. Then make the decision to give yourself some grace and forgive. This will not be easy and it won’t happen overnight.
Each time those feelings pop up, tell yourself: I am only human and I did the best I could with what I was going through at the time. I have learned what not to do and will strive each day to be better.
